EUROPEAN JUNIOR DIVING CHAMPIONSHIPS 2008

2. VENUE:

Water sport palace "Olympyiskyi", Surganova Str.2a, 220012 Minsk, Belarus.

3. FACILITIES:

The event will be staged indoor. The measures of the diving pool are in respect of the FINA Rules and Regulations:

• Four 1 m springboards
• Two 3 m springboards
• Platforms 1 m, 3 m, 5 m, 7.5 m, 10m.

4. PARTICIPATION:

Each Federation is entitled to enter a maximum of two divers (male and female) in individual events and one team in synchronised diving events.

Age Groups are (men and women):

• Category "A": 16 to 18 years (1990 - 1991 - 1992);
• Category "B": 14 to 15 years (1993 - 1994).

Individual Diving

Category "A":

• Springboard 1 m;
• Springboard 3 m;
• Platform 5 m - 7.5 m -10 m.

Girls group A:

• 1m: 5 dives with limit of DD of 9,0 + 4 voluntary dives
• 3m: 5 dives with limit of DD of 9,5 + 4 voluntary dives
• platform: 4 dives with limit of DD of 7,6 + 4 voluntary dives

Boys group A:

• 1m: 5 dives with limit of DD of 9,0 + 5 voluntary dives
• 3m: 5 dives with limit of DD of 9,5 + 5 voluntary dives
• platform: 4 dives with limit of DD of 7,6 + 5 voluntary dives

Category "B":

• Springboard 1 m;
• Springboard 3 m;
• Platform 5 m - 7.5 m - 10 m.

Girls group B:

• 1m: 5 dives with limit of DD of 9,0 + 3 voluntary dives
• 3m: 5 dives with limit of DD of 9,5 + 3 voluntary dives
• platform: 4 dives with limit of DD of 7,6 + 3 voluntary dives

Boys group B:

• 1m: 5 dives with limit of DD of 9,0 + 4 voluntary dives
• 3m: 5 dives with limit of DD of 9,5 + 4 voluntary dives
• platform: 4 dives with limit of DD of 7,6 + 4 voluntary dives

Synchronised Diving:

• Category "A/B combined": Springboard 3 m.
• Synchronized girls group B/A 3m: 2 dives (each DD of 2,0) + 3 voluntary dives
• Synchronized boys group B/A 3m: 2 dives (each DD of 2,0) + 3 voluntary dives

5. ENTRY TO BELARUS:

Citizens of countries needing an entry visa to Belarus are requested to contact as soon as possible the Belarus Swimming Federation for an official invitation. In order to avoid problems of administrative nature when requesting a visa please contact the Belarus Embassies or Consular Authorities within your country in due time before your planned departure to Belarus.

6. ENTRIES:

• PRELIMINARY ENTRY FORM, with copy to the LEN Office, March 1, 2008;
• FINAL ENTRY FORM, with copy to the LEN Office, June 15, 2008.

7. INSURANCE:

Participant's insurance is their Federation's responsibility.

8. TRANSPORT:

The organization will arrange a shuttle service between the National airports Minsk-1 and Minsk-2 or railway station and the Hotel "Minsk" between 22^nd and 30^th of June 2008.

Transportation from the hotel "Minsk" to the swimming pool and return, will be provided for the whole period from 22^d till 29^th of June 2008.

A complete schedule of transportation will be given to team managers upon arrival.

• Euro 130.00 in single room
• Euro 100.00 in twin or double room in full board per person per night

The payment should be made to the EJDC'08 official agency State Enterprise "BELSPORTOBESPECHENIE"

The recommended form for transferring the money to the account of the State Enterprise "BELSPORTOBESPECHENIE":

All the National Federations are kindly requested to make a payment of 50% of the total charge within the terms indicated on the HOTEL

RESERVATION PRELIMINARY BOOKING which must be returned by March 30, 2008.

Any remaining balance will be due by May 30, 2008 with HOTEL RESERVATION FINAL BOOKING.

Please send us a copy of the bank order.

After that date all costs for reservations will be the responsibility of the Federation.

11. TRAINING TIMES:

The pool is available for training and competition for all Teams as follows:

July 22^nd to July 29^th, 2008 : from 08:00 to 21:00

12. TECHNICAL MEETING:

The technical meeting will be held inside the Water Sport Palace "Olympyiskyi" on Tuesday , June 24^th at 15.00.

13. OPENING CEREMONY:

To be held on June 25^th at 14:00.

The Team Manager must appoint two divers for the parade to represent his/her country.

14. VICTORY CEREMONY:

The Awards Ceremony will be held at the end of each competition.

15. EUROPEAN JUNIOR DIVING CHAMPIONSHIPS 2008 SCHEDULE

16. ACCREDITATION AND ENTRY PROCESS:

According to the LEN regulations for European Junior Diving Championships J-D 5:

J-D 5.1 Federations entering the Championships will receive accreditation free of charge for:

• the President of the Federation
• the Head of the Delegation;
• the entered competitors;
• one medical person; a second medical person in case more than fifteen competitors have been entered;
• team staff members: 5 for up to 5 competitors, 6 for up to 8 competitors, 7 for more than 8 competitors.

However the number of team staff members may not exceed the number of competitors.

J-D 5.2 Team staff members include everybody servicing the team: Team leaders, Chaperones, Coaches, Physiotherapists, Interpreters, etc., but not officials such as judges, referees, etc.

To make the accreditation process easier all National Federations are kindly requested to provide the Organizing Committee with the photos of their team staff by E-mail: BFP2002@mail.ru or Maria-R@rambler.ru not later than 15, June 2008 together with the FINAL ENTRY.

Also Belarus Swimming Federation will provide the Online Entry and Accreditation Service Starting from 1, February 2008.
